Piping and Valves: Fundamentals for the Water and Wastewater Maintenance Operator

24-10-2021 - 28-10-2021 3300 دبي

Course Introduction:

Piping and valves are very essential parts of any industrial and practical engineering application. Design and protection of pipelines components and their construction and mechanical integrity as well as the selection of valves are in fact one of the very important practices of most engineers and technicians. This course covers the designing details of piping and valves according the relevant codes in order to achieve the best efficiency and reliability. The course also addresses the construction and protection used in pipelines and valves and the mechanical integrity needed for reliable and safe operations.

Course Objectives:

Upon successful completion of this course, the delegates will be able to:

  • Understand the basics and fundamental backgrounds about fluid flow in pipes and valves and all various components of pipeline systems
  • Enumerate the different types of valves
  • Review current codes and standards relating to piping and valves design, construction and mechanical integrity
  • Recognize the materials and construction of pipelines and valves
  • Determine the mechanical integrity of pipelines and valves needed for safe and reliable pipelines operation
